About the Author
Jennifer Everett
Jennifer Everett is the Founder and Executive Director of Culture Queens, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit she founded in 2019 in both Mecklenburg and Richmond Counties, North Carolina. A Richmond County native and NC Rural Center Homegrown Leaders graduate, Jennifer has spent more than five years building frameworks for inclusive community engagement in rural and under-resourced settings.
Her work has grown the Queens March from 250 to 450 attendees, produced UPLIFT NC rural travel itineraries, and earned national recognition for centering rural Black women and girls in arts, outdoor wellness, and cultural programming.
